Become a Partner in levelling up Britain
We have a national mission to level up opportunity across this country.
Firstly, companies and universities who make their Social Mobility Pledge are taking a powerful and pioneering shift towards being truly purpose-led organisations committed to social mobility. So far, we have built a coalition of 450 businesses globally, employing over 5 million people, as well as over 50 UK universities representing almost 2 million students.
We also work in partnership with select organisations who want to go further in demonstrating their commitment to the levelling up agenda, demonstrating their company purpose and making an impact on boosting social mobility. Increasingly, organisations can thinking about the vital steps they can take to be part of the solution on boosting opportunity and social mobility in the wake of COVID-19.
We work with those organisations to open source share their social mobility best practice, put in place an Opportunity Action Plan to go further in their social mobility commitments, develop innovative social mobility solutions and measure the impact and value organisations are having.
We work in partnership with a number of leading businesses and universities committed to social mobility, including Sainsbury’s, DLA Piper, United Utilities, Aberdeen Standard Life, University of York and University of the West of England. Take a look at some examples of work that we have done with these organisations here.
We also encourage organisations that wish to put in place social mobility programmes to consider working with delivery organisations such the Sutton Trust who champion social mobility through programmes, research and policy and the Big Issue, who do excellent work to dismantle poverty by creating opportunity.
